These are too easy not to make over and over! Great for get-togethers, a night in with a special someone…or just yourself!! I’ve been doing a lot of raw cooking, so I always have bulk nuts in my house. One afternoon I had a hankering for something with a little more kick than your average snack of raw nuts! I came up with this and I’m hooked!
You will need:
1 cup Almonds
1 cup Cashews
1 cup Walnuts
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne
1/4 teaspoon Cumin
1/4 teaspoon Ginger
(other fun spices are Garam Masala, Coriander, Paprika, Curry)
1/4 cup Water
1/2 cup Sugar (I like coconut sugar)
whopping Tablespoon Coconut oil
begin by preheating oven to 350 and oil a cookie sheet with coconut oil. Mix nuts and spices together in a bowl. In a saucepan over medium heat mix water, sugar and coconut oil for about a minute
Pour mixture over nuts and toss. Spread the glazed nuts on cookie sheet. While baking keep stirring and moving nuts until you see the liquid begin to cake on nicely. Shouldn’t take more than 10-15 minutes.
Let them cool (which is super difficult because they smell so good you want to start eating right away!!)
